What inspired you to write your favorite song?
My favorite song is "Applebite," from Sounds Like Space. It was written at a suuuper crappy point in my life, a time filled with sadness and woe...waa, waa, waa. It came out so honestly and quickly, I would compare it to throwing up after a day of slowly consuming massive amounts of alcohol. Usually I have a million drafts and arrangements, but this came out very easily. I really like the way the recording turned out, too.
