What inspired you to write this song?
It's about a trucker who is falling asleep at the wheel. The idea was spawned by a late-night road trip when I woke up to find my friend the driver of the car also sleeping as the car continued speeding down the highway. Luckily I lived to write the song.
Favorite venue:
Probably the Tractor Tavern in Seattle, because I've been playing there since I was 17 and it's in my neighborhood. "Home-court advantage," I guess you could say.
