What inspired you to write your favorite song?
“Allen Died, April 5” was the first song we ever wrote together. It's about a strange night in Belfast when Shaun was at a party in Camden Street. At 3 am there's a knock on the door and in walks beat poet Allen Ginsberg, who sat quietly drinking West Coast Coolers, a wine spritzer type of drink. It was a few months before he died. The song was the start of Oppenheimer, and always seems to go down well live.
