The Presets

True tales of gigs gone strange...

The Presets

The weirdest gigs are corporate gigs. Mobile phone companies or clothing companies throwing stupidly large amounts of money at you to play a half-hour set at their dumb night. Great cocktails and nibblies. You end up playing in the corner, and the whole time some panic-stricken little organizer guy is freaking out and asking you to play softer. Meanwhile, the room is filled with a bunch of C-list celebs who aren't even listening. It's terribly humiliating and embarrassing. I fucking love it — it's like bondage. Plus you get to be finished by 9 pm!
