The weirdest gigs are corporate gigs. Mobile phone companies or clothing
companies throwing stupidly large amounts of money at you to play a
half-hour set at their dumb night. Great cocktails and nibblies. You end up
playing in the corner, and the whole time some panic-stricken little
organizer guy is freaking out and asking you to play softer. Meanwhile, the
room is filled with a bunch of C-list celebs who aren't even listening. It's
terribly humiliating and embarrassing. I fucking love it — it's like
bondage. Plus you get to be finished by 9 pm!
