Speaker Bite Me
True tales of gigs gone strange...

We once had a tour ending in Rostock, Germany. Driving there, it was shit weather, not raining – just plain heavy grey. The road was deserted for cars, and the landscape was dark brown mudfields. The end-of-the-tour depressions had started. As we were driving, we looked out the window, and we saw two skinheads standing far off on a field, with bats in their hands, smashing pumpkins. They kind of froze for a second as we passed. Two minutes later, a policecar came screaming.
The gig that night was the same. An aggressive ghost-like feeling. I never did find out whether it was us or the audience who were the ghosts. We took the last ferry home.
