True tales of gigs gone strange...

Bikini Carwash Company
I once played a great venue in Hot Springs, AR called Maxine's Puzzle Bar. It has a great history of sin and debauchery, as it was once a vacation spot for mafia kingpins. The town itself was built around natural hot springs, which were said to have healing powers. Rival crime families would meet in peace at Hot Springs and go back home a week later to kill each other. Even further back, Native Americans who were weary of traveling settlers would let them pass if their destination was the town of Hot Springs.

The venue itself is one of those old saloon/whorehouse combos. It has a tiny stage, and the sound system is nothing to rave about, but the vibe is unstoppable.
